Volume with the works of Rabbi Yaakov Levin, Shoochet u’Bodek in Sadigura: Chotem Kadosh, first edition; Yafeh L’Bedika. Krakow 1892 & 1896.
Volume containing two works by Rabbi Yaakov Levin, who was shoel u’bodek and mohel in Sadigura and wrote a number of books on those subjects.
1. Chotem Kadosh, on the laws of milah and its minhagim, and practical advice based on experience. First edition, Krakow 1892. 8 pages, 9-91, [5] leaves. Leaves 87-91: “notes and comments…from Avraham Mendel Steinberg Avdak of Snitin”. Approbations from rabbis of Romania and the Maharsham of Berezhan. Leaves [1-4]: chart on the changing lengths of day and night and the time of tzeit hakochavim…in Chernowitz.”
2. Yafeh L’Bedika: on halachot of treifut of the lungs. Second edition: Krako 1896. [1], 68 pages. Various approbations.
Front binding is detached and the spine is loose, 8 first leaves from Chotem Kadosh are detached, torn first title page, brittle paper, overall good condition.
