Copy of the Rebbe's Family: Tur Even haEzer - Kopust, 1836
Tur Even HaEzer "as printed in Dhyrenfurth [1790-1796] and with additional virtue added in Slavuta [1801-1802]..." The press of Shabtai ben Shimon Slavin, Kopust 1836. Section III: Even HaEzer. And we also put the Darkei Moshe on the page to which it belongs. 170, [1] leaves. Mispagination. Printed in part on bluish paper. Moth perforations. Stains and some other blemishes. Old, worn binding. Good overall condition.
Varied ownership notations, including:
- "ר' שניאור בהרב..." (possibly the signature of the Admor Rabbi Chaim Shneur Zalman Schneerson of Liadi, the son of the Admor the Tzemach Tzeddek).
- "דובער" (we could not find any leads to whom it refers).
- Several signatures of "יהודה ליב שניאורסאהן" and in the same script "פה וועליז" - apparently the grandson of the above Admor of Liadi, Rabbi Yehuda leib Schneerson (1850-ca. 1924) the son of the Admor the Mahari of Liadi and son-in-law of his uncle Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Zalmanson, the son-in-law of the Admor the Tzemach Tzeddek and Av Beit Din of Velizh, Russia. Rabbi Yehuda Leib lived for several years in his in-law's town of Velizh and then served as Rav of Homel, Sirtin and Vitebsk.
