I.L. Bruni's floral still lifes are distinguished by the expressiveness of color. Many shades echo each other, forming new palettes in them. The author also uses many different tones of red, scarlet, crimson to create a unique image of the flower.

Artist: Bruni Ivan Lvovich (1920-1995) is a Soviet and Russian graphic artist and book illustrator. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Member of the Association of Artists of the USSR (1952). Honoured artist of the RSFSR (1976). People’s artist of the RSFSR (1981).

Since 1948, he began working in publishing houses, designing books. His first serious work was the illustration and design of A. Tvardovsky's poem "Vasiliy Tyorkin” (М., Goslitizdat, 1957). In 1959—1962 was the chief artist of the publishing house “Detskiy mir” (Children’s world).

The main works of I. L. Bruni were in the field of illustration and design of book publications, such as: a poem “Vasiliy Tyorkin” (А. Т. Tvardovsky, М., Goslitizdat, 1957), “In Sayan taiga” (М., Sov. khudozhnik, 1969), “Blue Тuva” (М., Маlysh, 1977). Artworks by I.L. Bruni are kept in the State Russian Museum and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
