Rare document of the Provisional Committee of the Jews of Eretz Israel, signed by Ya'akov Thon - 1920.
A certificate of the Provisional Committee of the Jews of Eretz Israel confirming that the holder of this certificate was chosen as the delegate to the first elected assembly of Jews in Palestine.
The certificate is signed by Dr. Ya'akov Thon, Chairman of the Elections Committee. and signed by the axis. And stamp of the Provisional Committee. Also on the certificate there is a stamp of the JNF.
The Provisional Committee for the Jews of the Land of Israel was established with the aim of organizing elections for the Founding Assembly. The assembly elected Dr. Jacob Tahon (1880-1950), who was a Zionist leader and leader of the Jewish community during the British Mandate.
