Alexander Chernitsky. Seated woman, 1993, H.12.5 cm, overglaze painting, red stamp 1744 LFZ made in Russia, signed ACH in pencil, collectible condition.

Chernitsky Alexander Nikolaevich (1918). The works are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery and other museums in the country. Student of Alexander Matveev. Graduated from the I.E. Repin LIZHSA in 1948. He installed a number of monuments and memorials in many cities of the USSR, the most famous in St. Petersburg: the monument to D.D. Shostakovich on Kronverkskaya embankment, 29, the obelisk Famous Petersburgers on the Sverdlovsk embankment, etc. He completed 48 bust-portraits, including those of D.D. Shostakovich, S.S. Prokofiev, I.F. Stravinsky, A.A. Voznesensky and others. In the 1950s-1990s he actively collaborated with the Leningrad Philosophy Plant. Personal exhibitions in Leningrad: 1950, 1979, 1988, 1993,1996, 2005 (Russian Russian Museum).
