Nicole Thibodeau, etching, "Hair Story" 2007, pencil signed lower right, good condition, 3 x 12 inches. Nicole Thibodeau grew up in Taos, NM; the daughter of Rich Thibodeau, a painter and Karen Thibodeau, an actress and playwright. She received her BA in Studio Art from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS in 2003 and her MFA at Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS in 2008. She also received instruction at the Art Student League in New York, Lacoste School of the Arts in France, as well as from Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy. She has found inspiration in everyday objects, accentuating their sacred, ceremonial aspects. Her work encompasses printmaking, portraiture, landscape as well as non-representational art. Thibodeau currently lives in Taos, NM.
