. Large and wonderful oil painting on canvas, “Leaving for Exile”, signed. 20th century, in a handsome wooden frame
A large oil painting depicting the Jewish people forced into exile, showing men, women, and children carrying their belongings, their faces (and even the sky) bleak. Leading them is what appears to be a rabbi carrying the sefer torah, which, as always, goes before them in their journeys. Signed “N. Zeiger.” Framed in a nice wooden frame. Painting: 50x70cm. Including the frame: 72x93cm. Defects to the frame, very good condition.
