Collection of 99 Biblical Stories Scraps
Collection of 99 Victorian picture scraps illustrating stories from the Jewish bible. Embossed die cut chromo lithographs. made by the printer Siegmund Hildesheimer. England, circa the late 19th century. Purchased originally in sets of 9, so the collection apparently includes 11 sets. Approximately 4X5 cm. Condition varies, good overall condition, stains, tears, losses, two scraps have missing description, wear. A collection of Hildesheimer’s scraps can be found at the V&A Museum in London.
