Temple Sherith Israel Centennial Medal - San Francisco
Medal issued for the centennial of the Sherith Israel temple in San Francisco, California. The medal is titled in English, and shows the tablets of the law with the ten commandments in Hebrew, a Jewish star, and a Menorah. It also includes the blessing: May the lord bless thee. The Sherith Israel synagogue was established in 1850, during the California’s gold rush period, and is one of the oldest synagogues in the United States.
