PERSONAL AUSWEIS BRITISCHE ZONE - A temporary identity card for children in the area of British occupation at the end of World War II. The details that were filled out in handwriting state that the certificate is valid until 1960 (ie for children born in 1945 and up to the age of 15) - a certificate of a child named Yitzhak Homond No. 122502.
The back of the certificate states that the holder of the certificate must submit an application for the issuance of a new identity card when he reaches the age of 15, and that the certificate is valid with the signature of a guardian on the child only. Issued usually for orphaned children to parents who perished in the war, and except for their name no further data were received about them in the initial stage after the war.
