Dementiev Rem Mikhaylovich 1929-1966
Graphic artist, illustrator, poster artist. He studied at the Art Institute of the Estonian SSR (graduated in 1956). He designed and illustrated books for Estonian book publishers. He collaborated with IZOGIZ publishing house, mainly engaged in social posters on the theme of childhood and pioneering, such as: "Thank you for the school of extended day!" (1960), "Happy New Year, guys!" (1960), "A Pioneer Tells the Truth, He Treasures the Honor of His Troop" (1960). He carried out political campaign posters: “Flaming the Red Flag through the Ages” (1959), “All to the polls! For the heyday of collective farm life!” (1961), "Glory to Soviet Tankers!" (1961), "May Day - Accept!" (1962), "XIV Congress of the Komsomol - Congress of Young Builders of Communism" (1962), "We Vote for Communism!" (1963). The artist's works are in many museum collections in Russia.
