[BENEDICT XIV]: (1675-1758) Pope of the Catholic Church 1740-58. Benedict XIV was a Scholar and Polymath who laid the groundwork for the Vatican Museum. Printed Papal bull copy, unsigned, twenty-six pages, 4to, Rome, 1749, in Latin. The Papal bull shows to the front page a Papal printed seal between two apostles. The document bears at the base of the last page a contemporary ink annotation, in Latin, indicating that the printed Papal bull corresponds to the original one.
