Letter handwritten and signed by the Admor Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai of Rachmastrivka
On official letterhead, by Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twersky of Rachmastrivka, written in Yiddish by hand and signed, with a blessing for health, sent to Chassid Rabbi Ozer, on 2nd of Adar, 1983. Signs of folding, generally very good condition. The Admor of Rachmastrivka, Rabbi Yisrael Mordechai Twersky (1929-2004) was the son of Admor Rabbi Yochanan Twersky of Rachmastrivka and son-in-law of Rabbi Sender Uri. He helped his father establish the Ma’or Einayim yeshiva in Jerusalem. After the death of his father, he refused to assume the crown of the monarchy, but after many entreaties of his followers, the Admor of Makhnovka (an elder of Admorei Chernobyl) forced him to take the Admorut “whether he wants to or not, he is appointed.” But out of his modesty he only agreed to be appointed with the endorsement of his brother, the Admor Rabbi Hai Yitzhak Twersky, the Admor of Rachmastrivka in the Unite dStates, and together they led the Admorut and shared the duties as well as in the Maor Einayim yeshiva.
