LEOPOLD III: (1901-1983) King of the Belgians 1934-51 when he abdicated. Unusual signed 5 x 4 photograph, the image showing the King of the Belgians on a canoe, alongside Heinrich Harrer, on a second canoe, with South-American natives guides behind them. Signed individually, `Heinrich Harrer´, and `Leopold de Belgique´, also dated in the King´s hand `Oyapok - XII - 1969´, to the lower white matted border. The Oyapok is a river and border between Brazil and French Guiana. VG £200-300 Heinrich Harrer (1912-2006) Austrian Mountaineer. Author of Seven Years in Tibet (1952).
