TERRA NOVA EXPEDITION: A slim 4to sheet of official printed stationery from the British Antarctic Expedition of 1910-13, led by Robert Falcon Scott and his crew on the Terra Nova polar expedition ship, individually signed by three members of the expedition comprising Harry Pennell (1882-1916, British Royal Navy Commander, responsible for the first sighting of Oates Coast on 22nd February 1911 and naming it after Captain Lawrence Oates), Edward Nelson (1883-1923, British Marine Biologist & Polar Explorer, conducted tidal observations at Cape Evans) and Henry E. de P. Rennick (1881-1914, British Royal Navy Lieutenant, responsible for the hydrographical survey work and deep-sea sounding). All have signed with their names alone in fountain pen inks. With the circular printed logo of the expedition to the upper left corner and bearing four One Penny red oblique Victoria Land postage stamps to the upper right corner, post marked on 18th January 1913, the day when the Terra Nova arrived at Cape Evans, Victoria Land.
