Smirnov-Rusetskiy Boris Alekseevich (1905, St. Petersburg – 1993, the same).
Smirnov-Rusetskiy B.A. is significant as an artist and graphic artist. Known as a vivid representative of Amaravella Group – the Union of artists-cosmists, N. Rerikh’s followers. Exposed in New York and Chicago exhibitions. Corresponded with Kandinskiy. The artist was repressed in 1941 and the works of this period were obliterated. His one-man shows took place in Moscow, Leningrad, Kiev, Novosibirsk, Vyborg, Pskov (1962-1988). The artist’s works are displayed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Museum of Eastern Folks and in many regional museums of Russia and abroad.
