Petrovichev Petr Ivanovich (1874, Yaroslavl province - 1947, Moscow).
Painter, master of lyrical landscape. Member of the Union of Russian Artists. One of the founders of the Society of Realist Artists. Studied at the Rostov Museum of Church Antiquities, MUZHVIZ. He was awarded two small silver medals for sketches and drawing from life, and was awarded a large silver medal for the painting “March” (“Spring Road”). Since 1898, he took part in exhibitions of the Moscow Society of Art Lovers, the Moscow Association of Artists, the TPHV, the World of Art, the Union of Russian Artists, and exhibitions of Russian art in Berlin and New York. The artist’s personal exhibitions were held in Moscow, Leningrad, Sverdlovsk, Yaroslavl, and Kyiv. Works by P.I. Petrovichev are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, and in all major regional museums of Russia.
