Sefer Ha-Shorashim by R. David Kimchi. Constantinople 1513.
Sefer Ha-Shorashim, the famous composition of Rabbi David ben Yosef ben Kimchi - HaRadak. Constantinople edition.

The book is complete and beautiful. Like many incunabula and post-incunabula, the book begins on the second side of the first page.

Avraham Yaari, in his book 'Hebrew Printing in Constantinople' (Jerusalem 5767, pp. 20-21) writes: "Only in a very few books is the first page is left blank, without the title page or poem printed on it. See: B. Rifkind p. 58". Indeed, in the present copy, as well as in the digital copy from the National Library, the book was printed with the first page left blank.

The first Hebrew books printed in Constantinople are very rare. Both the pages and the margins of the present copy are in excellent condition.

Constantinople 1513. Shmuel Rikomin and Astruc da Toulon.
[132] leaves. 30 cm. Complete copy.
Otzar Hasefer Database, No. 58101.
