First complete edition. The book was published earlier, in 1942, in a significantly reduced form.

The pages before the title are decorated with a gift inscription from the author and his own drawing on the entire page. The recipient, however, cut out a fragment of the page with their name...
One page, one drawing. The author traces step by step the various phases of his life in prison, from may 1940 to October 1941. Little text, only captions to illustrations.
