In the issue, the first publication of the poem by A. Blok "There is no name for you..." from the cycle "Mary".

[The cycle "Mary", is part of a larger cycle — "Harps and violins" from the third volume of the "trilogy of incarnation" by A. Blok.

It contains three numbered poems written on the same day — July 17, 1908: "Again at this door...", " The groom to the last door...", " Mary's braids are unbound...". These texts were first published in 1909 in the collection "Italy".

It should be noted that the first edition of the cycle was somewhat different from the canonical one-the last one (1921): the first poem was reduced to three six-verses, in the second several punctuation changes were made, and in the third there was a small graphic shift of individual lines.

In its final form, the minicycle was included by Blok in the fourth book of his poems "Night Hours" in 1911.

However, in 1908, a cycle with the same name, but completely different in the number and composition of poems, was published in the third book of poems by Blok "Land in the Snow" [1908] in the section "Friend of the Light". It includes the poems " There is no name for you, my distant...", "Prayer" ("About the life burned out in the choir..."), " In the blue sky, in the dark depths...", " Excerpt (From Byron) "("Barren places where I was young in heart..."), written in 1905-1906.

There was another, intermediate, version of the Mary cycle, which combined six poems, three of which were included in the book "Night Hours" and three in the book "Land in the Snow", with the exception of the translation "From Byron". This cycle was included in the first edition of the third book of the "trilogy of incarnation" (1912).]
