Bundle of Various Letters and Documents. Italy, 17th-18th Centuries
Testimony and court documents from the beit din in Modena, some with signatures (not originals) of Modena rabbis. There are a total of over thirty leaves. The content of the documents has not been properly examined and there may be surprising discoveries.
Including: Various letters and documents in Italian [7] with signatures in Hebrew, some of which are calligraphic. [Some of the letters indicate dates: 1767-1789], the text of the confessional prayer due to the drought of 1783, a leaf with a list of cantors for the high holiday and festival prayers, and much more.
Approximately 32 leaves from the 18th century. Various sizes.
Very fine condition.
