Pachad Yitzchak. Copy that Belonged to Rabbi Shimon Sofer, with a Lengthy Inscription by Him.

Pachad Yitzchak - rules in alphabetic order by Rabbi Yitzchak Lampronte. Lyck, 1864. Lengthy notation by Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Erlau.

The flyleaf bears a lengthy inscription by Rabbi Shimon Sofer, with his signature. Rabbi Simon Sofer wrote that he received the book from R' Ya'akov Tzvi known as Koppel Hirsch Singer in 1890, and he describes him with lofty titles. Rabbi Shimon at a later point added a note at the bottom of the inscription about Rabbi Ya'akov Tzvi Singer's passing. On leaf 194, there is a handwritten comment, possibly written by Rabbi Shimon Sofer.

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for brief biographies of Rabbi Shimon Sofer and Rabbi Shimshon Altman.

The book ends in the middle and this one us is all that was printed.

Fine condition.
