Segulah of Segulahs: Sefer Tehillim that Belonged to the Leading Practical Kabbalist, Chacham Yitzchak Kadouri
"For those finding difficulty conceiving and having viable children - it is a segulah to say Psalms 102, 103" (in Rabbi Kadouri's name)
Sefer Tehillim MiDarkei David with the addition of prayers to be said at grave sites of tzaddikim, from Sefer Sha'arei Dim'ah and other sources. Jerusalem, Blum Press, Israel, [c. 1990]. Rabbi Yitzchak Kadouri's signature appears in Oriental script on the first page of the sefer: "Yitzchak Kadouri."
This is a Sefer Tehillim through which the leading practical Kabbalist in recent generations, Chacham Yitzchak Kadouri, poured out his heart in his tear-filled prayers for the salvation of the masses of Jews who made their way to his door (as attested by Rabbi David Kadouri).
One of the famous segulot Rabbi Kadouri advised to those who consulted him, was to recite a number of psalms in a particular order. Specific chapters were publicized in several places. They are listed here, as follows, for the benefit of the readers:
- For a spouse: Recite for 40 successive days Chapters 31, 32, 70, 72, 124.
- For success in court: Recite each day until the end of the case: Chapters: 20, 21, 29, 91.
- For children: Recite chapters 102, 103, every day before sunset, and ask Hashem to be blessed with male children, in the merit of Rabbi Yitzchak Kadouri.
- For livelihood: Recite these chapters for 40 successive days: 20, 21, 23, 24, 29, 91.
- Against the evil eye: Recite Chapter 31 every day until the feeling that it has gone.
Extraordinarily rare sacred item whose value is difficult to exaggerate, the Sefer Tehillim used by Rabbi Kadouri to enact wonders like one of the ancients. How great is the segulah to read the chapters of Tehillim specifically from this sacred copy, used by Rabbi Kadouri for prayer, and with the elder Kabbalist's signature at the beginning.
Handwritten confirmation on the last leaf by his son, Rabbi David Kadouri, Rabbi Yitzchak Kadouri's son: "I hereby affirm that this sefer Tehillim was occasionally read by my father, ztzuk"l for the salvation of Jewish people. Sincerely, David Kadouri, son of Admo"r R' Yitzchak Kadouri ztzuk"l.
