A wonderful Segula! Ba'al Shem Tov on the Tora, Satmar, 1943 - Consents with the Rebbe of Spinka who writes: It is necessary that each and every one should have this holy book in his home and he will have it for safekeeping in his home to be saved from all sorrow and grief, and there will be an abundance of blessing and success in his home until it is not enough."

At the beginning of the book, letters from rebbes about this edition were printed:

Rabbi Yitzhak Isaac of Spinka wrote:

"... as it is known that the soul of our divine Lord the Besh"t was the totality of all the souls of Israel, as it is known the act of our Lord... Maran Elimelech of Lizensk had great sorrow as to why he did not know the Besh"t... [and he recounts a story regarding this]. .. And it is necessary that each and every one have this holy book in his home and he will have it to keep in his home to save himself from all sorrow and grief, and there will prevail in his home an abundance of blessing and success until it is not enough."

The Rebbe Rabbi Shalom Eliezer Halberstam of Ratzafert: "It is a great favor that he is doing among his people to spread the teachings of the Holy Besh"t, ... and I hope that everyone who helps him in the above matter will have a great favor to him and will be saved from the evils of the end of days"

The secretary of Rabbi Chaim Meir Hagar of Viznitsh, who was in Grosverdein at the time, wrote on his behalf:

"... and each and every one knows to appreciate the importance of the book, which is a virtuous blessing and protection in every home. And surely everyone will jump to buy it to bring a blessing into their home. And the Rebbe Shalit"a is very eager to be sent one book at whatever price he will pay for it."

Rabbi Shlomo Zvi HaCohen Strasser Rabbi of Debrecen, the grandson of the 'K'tav Sofer', wrote:

"... the right of the Holy Besh"t will protect every house in which this holy book is found."

At the beginning of the book is the stamp of Rabbi Israel Ze'ev Bruinstein of Atesalka, under the printed inscription: "I forbid the printing of this book in our country for ten years..." This sentence did not have much meaning, because within about a year most of the Jews of Hungary had perished. God will avenge the spilled blood of his servants.

This edition was printed in the context of a lack of books printed in the previous edition (in the year 1938) due to the burning of synagogues and study halls, etc. during the years of the Holocaust (as mentioned in the letter of Rabbi Yehoshua Buksboim at the beginning of the book before us).

בתחילת הספר נדפסו מכתבי אדמו"רים על מהדורה זו:

האדמו"ר רבי יצחק אייזיק מספינקא כתב:

"... כידוע שנשמת רבינו האלוקי הבעש"ט זי"ע היה כליל כל נשמות ישראל, כידוע המעשה שרבינו... מרן אלימלך מליזענסק היה לו צער גדול מדוע לא הכיר את הבעש"ט... [ומספר המעשה על כך]... ו מהנחוץ שכל אחד ואחד יהיה לו ספר הקדוש הזה בביתו ויהיה לו לשמירה בביתו להנצל מכל צער ויגון, ויהיה שורר בביתו שפע ברכה והצלחה עד בלי די".

האדמו"ר רבי שלום אליעזר הלברשטאם מראצפערט: "טובה גדולה אשר עושה בעמיו להפיץ תורת הבעש"ט הקדוש אשר הוא מהתקרבות הגאולה, ואקווה שכל המסייע לו לדבר הנ"ל יהיה לו טובה גדולה ויינצל מחבלי משיח. הבא על החתום ב' אולי ירחם ויתרומם לפ"ק".

המשב"ק של האדמו"ר רבי חיים מאיר האגער מוויזניץ', שהיה אז בגרוסוורדיין, כתב בשמו:

"... וכל אחד ואחד יודע להעריך חשיבות הספר אשר הוא ברכה סגולה ושמירה בכל בית. ובטח יקפוץ עליו זביני להביא ברכה לתוך ביתם. וגם כ"ק מרן שליט"א משתוקק מאוד שישלח לו ספר אחד במחיר אשר ישית עליו".

רבי שלמה צבי הכהן שטרסר רבה של דברצן, נכד ה'כתב סופר', כתב:

"... זכות הבעש"ט הקדוש יגן על כל בית אשר ימצא בו ספר הקדוש הזה".

בפתח הספר חותמת רבי ישראל זאב ברוינשטיין מאטעסאלקא, תחת הכיתוב המודפס: "אני אוסר להדפיס ספה"ק זה במדינתנו עד משך עשרה שנים ...". למשפט זה לא הייתה כ"כ משמעות, כי בתוך כשנה נספו רוב יהודי הונגריה. ה' יקום נקמת דם עבדיו השפוך.

מהדורה זו נדפסה על רקע מחסור בספרים שנדפסו במהדורה הקודמת (בשנת תרח"ץ) בגלל שריפת בתי כנסיות ומדרשות וכו' בשנות השואה (כנזכר במכתבו של רבי יהושע בוקסבויים זצ"ל הי"ד בפתח הספר שלפנינו).
