A SOVIET PORCELAIN FIGURINE LFZ FIRST GRADER
A Lenningrad Porcelain Factory (LFZ) figurine depicting a "First Grader", 1950. By Russian sculptor A.F. Pakhomov (1900-1973) who was also known as an illustrator of children's and youthful books. Illustrations of his authorship could be found in the books of S. Ya. Marshak, V.V. Mayakovsky, L.N. Tolstoy, I.S. Turgenev, N.A. Nekrasov, I.A. Bunin and other writers.
