Brass pommel (with USSR stamped on it) and ferule, wooden handle, slightly curved blade with false edge stamped on ricasso with inspection marks, production date 1938, and Zlatoust factory mark "ZIZ" The grip mount is marked with Cyrillic letter "M" 37. Wooden scabbard is covered with fabric and black paint, brass scabbard mounts with loose suspension ring, chain and hook. All brass parts are stamped with "M" inspection marks.
